Traditional Sautéed Pierogies

Serves 2-3

Ingredients

  • One dozen Potato Cheddar Pierogies
  • One green pepper
  • One sweet onion
  • One Tbsp. butter
  • One Tbsp. olive oil
  • Sour cream (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat a covered frying pan with butter and oil over medium heat.
  • Slice pepper and onion into strips and place in frying pan.
  • Add frozen pierogies and cook 4-5 minutes per side with the cover on until they are golden brown.
  • Serve with a side of sour cream.

We enjoyed the pierogies. My personal favorite is the sauerkraut with mushrooms. I served them with kielbasa. I baked them right out of the freezer, put butter on them while baking, and ate them with sour cream....very easy! THEY ARE THE BEST SINCE BABCI MADE THEM!!
